I slayed all the devils in hell
So I could set my mind at ease
After slaying those devils in hell
Why is there a devil next to me?
When I was young I used to think I knew it all
Short as fuck but I always walked it tall
Enemies, I liked to leave 'em on the shelf
The only enemy I really have is myself
The mind can be a terrible thing to waste
But there's a time and a place, and I laugh right in its face
I slayed all the devils in hell
So I could set my mind at ease
After slaying those devils in hell
Why is there a devil next to me?
Wake up, check my life, anxiety kicking in
I ought to leave it alone, anxiety always wins
Mother Earth please forgive us for all our sins
I tried to be a better man, we don't always win
We used to be children of the grave
We're now nothing but slaves, media slaves
I slayed all the devils in hell
So I could set my mind at ease
After slaying those devils in hell
Why is there a devil next to me?
Just some very quality stoner rock/metal. Excellent riffs, guitar tone, vocals, production, and great hooks. My biggest complaint about a lot of this kind of music is a lot of bands forget to include hooks. Acid Magus didn't. mobesneedmusic
Fantastic album from front to back! Incredibly catchy, fuzzy riffs, great songwriting and powerful lyricism.
A classic of modern heavy psych / stoner music! Brett
This searing, four-track split from Bog Wizard (Michigan) and Dust Lord (Colorado) pairs stoner rock riffs with hard fantasy themes. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 10, 2021
Weedian presents a 56-track chronicle of Mexico's stoner metal and heavy psych scenes, from ’90s forefathers to contemporary wrecking crews. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 21, 2022
If you like to live on the edge and have no regard for mindless compliance or conformity, this might just be the ticket. But I gotta warn you, Auralayer's Thousand Petals is probably going to duke it out for Album of the Year at Clean and Sober Stoner, maybe even the Doom Charts, against the likes of Hail the Void, Faery Ring, Snakemother and Acid King. Once you cross that line, it can be hard to go back...
